The band, now with singer David Lee Roth back in the fold since 2007, also features Wolfgang Van halen who replaced Bassist Michael Anthony, in 2006. Eddie and Alex Van Halen are the only two members who have remained with the group since its inception. Kicking the show off with “Unchained,” and dive bombing straight into “Running With The Devil,” the band showcased tunes from their career and also four new tunes from the current CD including “Tattoo,” and their newest single and video “She’s The Woman.”

Despite an average ticket price of approximately $150, Van Halen's "A Different Kind of Truth Tour" is proving to be an unqualified commercial success as well, with nearly all U.S. arena shows "either sold-out, or close to it." Critically, the band received mostly positive reviews, particularly when performing throughout the U.S. Northeast (during February and March 2012) and West Coast (during May and June 2012). R&B legends Kool and the Gang were hand-picked by frontman David Lee Roth to open the first two legs of Van Halen's tour - a decision that seemed baffling at first, but ultimately proved to be successful.

After performing at the world famous Cafe Wha? January 5 in New York City to announce their A Different Kind Of Truth world tour, the Big Apple Press roundly applauded as fans and followers posted videos and photos of the band's unique first show opening. The band released its brand new studio album A Different Kind Of Truth on February 7. The album is Van Halen's first original studio album with singer David Lee Roth since the band’s diamond certified album 1984.

Van Halen’s first single from the album, “Tattoo” has been played on more than 160 stations since its release on January 10th. It held the positions of #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Singles chart, #1 Most Played Song at Classic Rock Radio in its first week and #1 Most Added song at Mainstream and Active Rock Radio.

Van Halen recently premiered the video for “She’s The Woman,” the second single from A Different Kind Of Truth, the band’s first original studio album with singer David Lee Roth since the iconic, multi-platinum 1984. Shot during its on-going live tour, the video presents a greatest hits of the band’s concert moments.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1974, Van Halen changed the rock and roll landscape forever with the release of their self-titled, 1978 debut album. Displaying unparalleled stage presence, musicianship, and songwriting abilities, the band has sold more than 75 million albums sold worldwide and created a record of achievement that is hard to top. Van Halen joins an elite short list of two-time Diamond Award (10 million sales) honorees for their albums Van Halen and 1984. The band was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in March of 2007.
