Reunited and it feels so good! Setting the alternative nation abuzz with excitement and anticipation, Travis Barker, Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, better known as Blink-182, one of the world’s greatest Punk-Rock bands invaded the Santa Barbara Bowl Oct. 12th with the last show of the season at the storied venue. And what a way to close out the season! After officially announcing they are back together, the band hit Santa Barbara in the midst of their monster Summer and Fall Tour, with special guests, The Aquabats.

With more than 20 million albums sold worldwide, Blink-182 is widely considered one of the best Punk Rock bands of all time. Formed in the San Diego suburbs in 1993, the band found international fame, multi-platinum albums and massive radio airplay success before breaking up in 2004. Although each member went on to their own successful projects, personal events and natural chemistry brought them back together in what each of the band members describe as nothing short of fate. Having newfound inspiration and creativity together, they have worked to create one of the Summer’s best touring Rock shows. Known for connecting with their fans, Blink-182 set out to prove that after five years apart, they could still deliver the goods, and on this night at the Santa Barbara Bowl, the group did come through with one of the highlights of the season. The band is set to head into the studio to record a new CD.

The Aquabats (often written as The Aquabats!) are an American Rock band formed in 1994 in Orange County, California. They have released four full-length studio albums and have toured internationally. They are best known for their mythology, in which they claim to be superheroes on a quest to save the world from evil through music. Their current style blends elements of Rock and Roll, pop-punk, ska, and synthpop.
